Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Johann Kuprianoff

From "food engineer with Karlsruhe imprinting" to life science engineering
Over 40 years of experience in the field of food processing technology

The foundation stone for an engineering education in the field of food processing at the University of Karlsruhe was laid on the suggestions of Rudolf Plank by the founding of the Institute for Technology of Food Processing in 1961. Several years earlier, the later director of the institute, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E. H. Johann Kuprianoff, had ideas about a contemporary education of engineers working in the food industry:
